Week 41

Sleep....wow a full at least 8 hours straight is amazing!!! I guess one night of crying for 30 minutes was worth it, even though it broke my heart! I'm so proud to say that you are sleeping through the night, you occasionally wake up but I have at least 4 pacifiers in your bed and you will pop it in! There have been times when you couldn't find your paci so I had to get up and give it to you but that's been very rare & I'll take that! It's so cute, you twirl your hair when you are sleepy or going to sleep, I just love it!

You've started with a new word...CAA...in Paisley language that is Cash (the babysitters dog) and that's what all dogs are! You will clap your hands then hit your hands on you lap while screaming CAAA at Bayleigh and Clowie. After this weekend I think our dogs should understand! You point, say CAA, and then crawl as fast as you can to them!

You also have a new love for 2 things: Dog Food & The Toilet! I know disgusting! You will sneak into the entry way where the dogs food is and eat it, we are teaching you that's its bad butttt you still like it! Thankfully its only happened twice. Now on to the toilet, when I get ready you like to sit in the bathroom (you used to sit in your room which is directly across so you could play and see me) and find random objects to throw in the toilet & try and fish them out. So now we have to remember to keep the toilet lid down. However, the bath tub is good with you too knocking anything that's on the side into it or grabbing toys off the floor and throwing them is fun too!

Now for my favorite... Dancing!!! You have always jumped when we say Jumpy Jumpy Jumpy...now if you say Shake Shake Shake, Shake Shake Shake, Shake your booty...you dance! I love it, it's the most adorable thing ever!

You have stood on your own a few times now, you've gone from sitting to standing then back to sitting. You will let go of our hands, it freaks me out b/c when you hurt yourself the fit is awful! Poor thing you've bumped your head so many times from being curious! I for see walking really soon....ahhh IDK if I'm ready for that!

We no longer can put bows in your hair, you take them right out and eat em!

We are still doing the Similac Advanced and you seem to be doing well! We have had a few issues of spitting up and/or stool but I think it's going to be ok. You are also eating whatever we eat for dinner, graduate meals for lunch, and oatmeal and fruit for breakfast...bye bye baby food!! I love when you eat what we are eating...you grunt if I'm not feeding you fast enough.

For Macey's Birthday we went to dinner & to Baskin Robins where I shared a banana split with Daddy...don't ever make that mistake I took 2 bites and looked down and he had devoured it! Grandma came to the house and watched you for a few hours, she's been missing her Paisley girl!

You hit your eye on the foot board of my bed trying to escape...you have already hit your head. You think its a game to crawl as fast as you can to the end of the bed & you are a dare devil it doesn't matter to you that its the end of the bed! It got you this time poor angel face!

You emptied your entire shoe drawer, and you were continuing to the drawer above to empty the pj's....I knew you were up to something so I walked into this!

Mommy went to get her hair done & when I came to get you...you and Abby were napping! How sweet!

9 Months & 40 Weeks

I've been whipped into shape this morning. I stumbled across a blog about a precious little baby boy that may not live to be 3 years old & they discovered this just last month when he was 9 months old...the exact age that you are. This have been proof to me that everything happens for a reason and that it will touch someones life but I still feel it's so unfair that such an innocent little guy has to suffer. I've always kept this blog because I fear that something may happen to either your Daddy or I and I don't want you to ever have to wonder how your life was or miss out on any pictures....I never ever considered that it could just go the other way...It breaks my heart for that family. I couldn't even imagine being in their situation and yet they are so strong, granted I don't know them and I'm sure she breaks down but they are so brave! It makes me want to just LEAVE work now and cuddle with you. More this past month I've complained about how busy I am and how I have so much on my plate, yesterday I decided that something has to go. I don't think that's the case so much maybe I need to be appreciative of this time I have with everyone. I make it a point to play with you every day & cuddle every day I just hope that I never get too wrapped up in all of this other stuff and go a day without showing you how you and daddy are my #1. My heart aches so much for this family, but they are living life to the fullest and making sure they have nothing but wonderful memories with their sweet angel! Never take one day for granted & make sure everyone you love knows it!!

You have started Similac Advanced, at first this was a battle you gagged and shivered but we have eased you into it and seem to be doing great!

Our next goal is to take you off of the Prevacid.

You have slept all night 3 days in a row, we did the cry it out and we only had one day of 30 min of crying which broke my heart! However now you can put yourself to sleep so I guess it was worth it!

You are wearing 9-12 month clothes & size 2 shoes still (tiny foot like Meme).

You talk a lot, I'm always talking back to you and we have conversations about absolutely nothing but I love it!

You are now a speed crawler, it's hilarious!!

You love to get into stuff, I was putting together a Scentsy order...you emptied the entire box of bars and put them right back! You do the same with your diaper bag, it's quite comical.

We still don't have any teeth, but Dr. McGrann said that's totally fine until 15 months.

We are still in size 4 diapers.

You like to push things around the house, your baby stroller, boxes, anything that will slide.

You walk down the couch!

You crawl to us and throw your arms up when you want to be held and cry if we don't!

Colored your first color page at Paisley Kay's Birthday. You ate more crayons than you colored with but that's ok!

Changing your diaper is like wrestling and alligator...nearly impossible!

You eat anything we eat, meat, pasta, beans, vegetables...and love it all! We do have to be sure you eat something that starts with a P to keep your bowls moving so Peaches, Pears, Papaya, Plums, Prunes...you get the idea.

I love you so much & love how you get so excited to see me, this stage has been my favorite so far! ( I say that every time)

Week 39

We had a very busy week this week! Monday we had pictures with Robin, Tuesday I cooked Dinner for MeMe & Grandpa, Wednesday we had MoMo's B-Day, Thursday I had to meet with the Insurance man, Friday we actually got to breathe and cook dinner, Saturday we went to visit MeMe & Grandpa while Daddy helped build fence with Grandpa, and Sunday we went to Church & had Grandma's Birthday! Needless to say I'm glad we are starting a new week but this one isn't much better, we are so busy these days but that's ok keeps it interesting!

You have started one of the funniest things...bocking like a chicken! I'm not sure where it came from b/c I haven't taught you and Macey hasn't but it is HILARIOUS! We were in Fillip's after getting pictures taken and you were just a going it sounded like there was a turkey in the restaurant, you had everyone laughing! You have mastered high five and love to do it! Now you and Daddy have a secret hand shake its high five and then pointing, its really cute! I can't believe in 2 days you will be 9 months old, where has the time gone?

Week 38

It's so funny how much more you blossom each week, you are constantly on the go & are growing so fast! Trying to get you to eat baby food is such a task, you want what we are eating and want nothing to do with this baby food business!! You've learned how to play peek-a-book, and crack up every time you pull the blanket off of your face!Tug-a-war with the dogs is one of your favorite games too!! I love those moments!! You and Daddy love your time to wrestle, and now poor Clow has to pay the price!

Well poor Clowie, she is your new found playground! You not only lay on her you try and wrestle her like some sort of alligator! You are one crazy baby, and of course Clowie just loves every second of it!

What an eventful weekend we had! Meme had surgery on Thursday so Friday & Saturday we spent some time with them! You didn't want anything to do with any other than your Grandpa...I can't say I blame you look at all the fun stuff he did with you...

Week 37

This week has been a fun week, the weather has been pretty enough to play outside! You've become a brave little girl, you will stand with no hand for a few seconds, this means walking will come soon...I'm so nervous! You've already mastered opening up cabinets so Daddy has got to make it a priority to put the safety locks on them! You are such a little ham! Some of your favorite times are when Daddy rough houses with you, it's funny b/c then if you break out a book you are as calm as can be! Such a little stinker! When your upset or crying you will say mama...but you look like a little old lady with no teeth and you are popping your mouth when doing it...idk if that makes sense but I don't know how else to explain it! We have started on high five, you think it's hilarious! You have also waved and said bye bye...but you've only done it a few times! You spent the night with MeMe and Grandpa, you got to ride on the tractor and for some dumb reason I didn't take a picture, I guess we will have to go recapture that!!! You crawled into your room & you were playing alone saying "Ada, Ada, Ada"!

You literally have NO FEAR! You will crawl off the edge of anything...even the bed so we have to be very careful! You are nonstop, we have our hands full but wouldn't have it any other way you are so much fun!

This was the best investment that Santa brought, you love it! I love you little mittens, at first you didn't know how to react to them..you just froze and wouldn't move your hands...it was hilarious!!

When we pick you up from Macey's (she lives 2 houses down) we let you drive us there and back...I think it's one of your favorite things of the day! Daddy took this picture, SHOCK I know!!! : P

I've started giving you a spoon when I'm feeding you & I dip your spoon in the baby food. The smart little angel you are you put it right in your mouth! You did sling some in your hair but hey mom does that sometimes too & I'm supposed to be the pro!

Today actually is Nicki's birthday but we celebrated after her basketball game Saturday! Funny story there, Sherri asked that we go set up while she picked up the cake and Caroline took Nicki to get dressed! So Crystal had the understanding of Fillip's Cafe. So her and I get there early have the table looking all cute...30 minutes go by and we start wondering but know that its Sherri we are talking about she's late to everything! Well they call and ask where are we....oops we were supposed to be at La Casona...so poor Nicki didn't get a pretty table to be surprised about buttttt she did get a funny story to tell! Happy Birthday Nicki!

Week 36

I was pregnant for 37 weeks...so I've now had you in my arms as long as I had you in my tummy...I never knew I could love someone as much as I love you! I'm so thankful that I've been blessed with such a sweet yet goofy little girl! This week has been the funnest of all, you are so adventurous & daring! You are all over the place, if I'm in one room you are not far behind me with your little Cough-Laugh, Daddy doesn't know how your little throat doesn't hurt as often as you make this noise, but it's so cute! You love to play chase,but you have no fear which scares me you were crawling around and where the floor steps down into the Texas room you fell right in and bumped your little head, you had a bruise for a few days. You love to clap, it's so cute! You will be walking soon, you're getting a little too big for your britches you just let go while standing up...really scares me! You've never really liked your walker but Aunt Sherri bought you a dinosaur and you love it you go backwards everywhere! Meme got you a swing set for Christmas and this weekend you weren't sick and it was warm enough to play on it, so Mommy went and got Karlynn and y'all had a fun time while little Gunner watched you, before we know it he will be right in there with you! Speaking of Gunner, Thursday was the first day Macey Babysat you y'all had a good day! I'm really excited for you and Gunner to grow up together, especially if we don't plan on having another kid! Josh told me that there is an album that popped up on Ella's Pandora account that was renditions by Journey, you know that as soon as I heard that I downloaded it and that's what you listen to when you're sleeping. Sleeping wasn't going to well but now that we have music playing & no lights on you sleep great...Saturday you slept from about 10:30-8:30 I made Daddy get up and make sure you were OK b/c that was very odd! You were fine as suspected but I was still a little nervous! : P We had a great weekend, didn't do a whole lot but those are the best weekends!!

8 Months Old

I can't believe that in 4 months you will be tearing into a Birthday cake! I've already started with the preparations...well I have a theme & I know I'll be making most of the decor....what have I got myself into? It's going to be cute though & I can't wait!

Back to you being 8 months....there are so many things you are doing now like:

*Crawling all over the place
* Pulling up on everything in site & you're able to sit back down
*Finding everything on the ground....especially leaves, you have some sort of fascination with the leaves that the dogs drag in.
*Eating off of our plate, you've even tried a few meats but just little slivers
*Eating chunks of apples, cheese, pears, mum mums, and Gerber snacks all by your self
*Eating 8 oz every 4 hours as well as a fruit for breakfast, vegetable for lunch, and a "Dinner" & fruit for dinner
*Drink out of your sippy cup no problem
*You say Dada
*You have learned how to throw a fit...not sure I like it so much
*You've said Ma, Hot, and Bye Bye but not enough to say they are a part of your vocabulary
*Still totally infatuated with Bayleigh
*Love playing outside
*Sleep....not so great somethings got you waking up so frequently
*Enjoy riding in the car now that you have a DVD player
* We are having to buy new clothes b/c your 6mo are getting too small on to 9 months
*You are wearing a size 4 diaper
*You only have a paci when falling to sleep

Week 35- New Years & Penney Christmas

This is also week 35 & you have started making some MMMM sounds, maybe "Mama" is soon to come, I sure hope so! You also get stuck when you pull up, you've not quited figured out how to sit back down! The other day while I was cleaning you were so proud of yourself b/c you had pulled up but you just couldnt quite figure out how to sit back down so you started crying! You also go to town on your little Piano that Santa got you, I think you will enjoy music when you get older! Now that you can crawl around you are my helper when I clean, however your cleaning consists of you dragging more stuff...but at least you're trying! Your Aunt Crystal had a brave bone in her body and took all of you girls for a night, she was worn out the next day!

We celebrated Christmas & New Years all at one time with Daddy's side of the family b/c your cousins were with their dads during Christmas. We had a great time! We started out eating, then on to gifts, and then you went to stay with Grandma while we all went out to celebrate New Years, btw this was our first year in several years to be up long enough to bring in the New Year.

Week 33, 34, & Christmas

Week 33, 34, & Christmas will all be one post b/c there was so much going on I was a slacker, but also b/c I don't want to miss anything!!!

To start off, Paisley started CRAWLING on week 33!! Exciting!!!! She is everywhere, loves to go now that shes able! She has gotten carpet burn on her sweet little nose but shes improving!! She is also back to saying DaDa constantly!!!! Her Daddy took off to spend the day with her & I'm pretty sure that's all he did was "TRAIN" her! :P Blowing bubbles with spit is also a new thing! It is pretty funny!!!

Week 34 brought pulling up on everything in site, mommy ,daddy, the couch, Clowie, her toy box Santa brought her, the bar stools ( where she got stuck), and the entertainment center! She also repeated me when I said HOT...but she wont say it again! We have also got a Ma...but that's it nothing more! She now finds everything that the vacuum leaves behind...as well as every leaf that Bayleigh & Clowie bring in...no telling how many leaves shes consumed & I didn't notice! Crazy baby!!!

Now onto what you're really waiting on Christmas!! We had such a wonderful Christmas! We started off here at our house Christmas Eve afternoon Paisley opened our gifts (we opened gifts too butt..now that she's here that's what you wanna hear about). Then we went on to Meme & Grandpaw's and had Dinner, we then went to Candle Light Service, then back to Meme & Grandpaw's to open gifts! She got a huge swing set that wouldn't fit in the house so there are no pictures of it...but I'm sure as soon as she gets rid of her cough & it warms up a tad we will take LOTS of pictures!! Christmas day Santa came and brought Paisley lots of goodies...one that was her absolute favorite...a toy box! Santa asked a very special person to help him with this gift, Uncle Matt worked very hard with Santa to make "SAM" (what Uncle Matt calls Paisley) the perfect toy box, and boy is it perfect! So perfect that we have a hard time convincing her to get OUT of it!! Soon we will take it to Schelli (the lady that painted her room) to paint it! Once it serves its purpose as a toy box I plan to use it as a hope chest!! I'm very excited about this gift if you can't tell!

Later we had several other stops, Gunner came by to open gifts, Steph & Travis, and a few others! Our Penney Christmas will be celebrated on New years because the girls are all with their dads, so many more pictures to come!!!

We had a date night on Friday & took you to see Santa at Bass Pro. It was a lot of fun, you looked so cute, we had so many compliments!! My Sweet girl was sick this week! A sinus infection w/ a UTI..no fun! Saturday morning we went to the doctor b/c Thursday and Friday you were sick, 102.5 fever really had me worried. I called the dr. when you were running 99.7 and they swore you were fine and it's not fever until 100.5.....well I was right so we spent the weekend at the doctor. Daddy was out of town so it was just you and I...there were lots of naps taken b/c there wasn't much sleeping at night! I hope you get well soon Angel Face!!! <3

You had your first slumber party with your Aunt Crystal. She took some time off and wanted to babysit you and suggested you just stay the night, I'm not going to lie that was a hard call for us! Not only were you going to be spending the night i wouldn't see you from 7:30am on Monday until 3:00 on Wednesday...so it was a long time!! Thankfully she brought you Monday afternoon to have lunch with us, but it was still very hard. I woke up and your normal times but it was nice to sleep and not have to get up! Speaking of...you have started sleeping through the night, OK well I have to get up and give you your pacifier but not a bottle!! :) That has been very nice!

We put up your Christmas Tree, it is filled w/ the Hallmark Barbies Meme has collected for me since 1994! I think it turned out really cute, and you just love the lights!

You got your first pedicure...aren't those the cutest pink toes you have ever seen?! Of course I painted both your toes and nails when you were asleep...there would have been no way that you would have stayed still long enough for me to do it when you were awake!

We have a wanna be crawler on our hands! You get up on your knees and rock back and forth...you get so frustrated that you can't go...but it will be soon!!!! I'm not sure if I'm ready for this b/c you a such a busy baby!!

You have given your Daddy a big head...what started out as "BABABA" he has now translated to "DADA"....ok so maybe you have started saying "DADA" but "BABA" came first and comes more frequently! : P

The infamous spitting has come back...I thought you were over it...but not so much! It's hard not to laugh but I'm afraid that's one habit we should break from the start!

Black Friday Shopping

I'm a sucker for Black Friday shopping, every year Stephanie and I get our list & itinerary ready and hit the stores! This year it was a little different some sales started at 10, 12, 3, 5, and 6 so that meant we didn't get to bed until 6:30 am! OMG that is tough w/ a 7 month old!!! I got everything I was after & more of course! Wal Mart was our store this year, we checked out 3 different times & I went back when I woke up from my nap to get Daddy a PlayStation 3 game. Some how he convinced me to get him a PS3....we were just after a blue ray player .... crazy! I only got it b/c there were people standing in line since 6pm & we got there at 9:45 and there were still tickets left to get one...kinda did it in spite lol...I get evil during black Friday...something just takes me over! haha!

Target's line was insane....but thankfully Keslie was there and our portable DVD players. I got this for you so that you wont cry while riding in the car at night, you are so scared of the dark!

Whats new this week....
Well you like to fake cough, I have been under the weather and had a small cough...so you little stinker you mimic every time I cough!

You are pulling up on everything, Clowie, Me, the couch, anything you can get your hands on....you do not want to be sitting down! Idk if you will ever crawl...it's looking like you will just walk!

- You weight 17lbs 10oz you are 27 1/4". You are in the 96th percentile for height & weight!

- You eat 6 oz every 4 hours.

- You eat stage 2 foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you also have cereal at night.

- You are eating the Graduate snacks, the yogurt melts, the puffs, and the stars....you aren't too sure about the yogurt melts.

- You can maneuver in a circle ... crawling wont be long!

- You have almost mastered a sippy cup.

- You sleep most of the night and some nights you wake up for a feeding.

- You've started pulling up, like in the bath tub not a good ideal little girl!

- You must be super sweet b/c the mosquitoes keep eating you up!

Our Boss!

You have started drinking water out of a sippy cup and you are pretty good for just a little girl!

You love play time with mommy & daddy and when I set you down you cry. You are just a little spoiled...that's not a good thing! Meme bought you a book and its your favorite toy you have!

We took you to the Brazoria County Fair on Sunday, we had such a good time. We ran into Travis, Brandi, and Tenley Knighton so you and I rode on the carousel with Tenley and her mommy. At first you started to cry and then you decided you liked it, Daddy got lots of pictures!! We also went to the petting zoo and you enjoyed pulling all of the animals ears! It was a great time, can't wait for next year and we can do even more!

Daddy taught you how to stick out your tongue....now that tongue is always out!

You eat stage 2 foods and you have tried many of them, when I see new ones I grab them, and there hasn't been one that you don't like! You are getting to the point of wanting to feed yourself...this could get messy! You aren't a very polite little girl...you put your feet up on the tray every time you eat!

You have started stage 2 foods, so you have tried turkey & chicken so far..well of course mixed with some sort of rice or vegetable. I just cant stomach them alone! For breakfast you eat a carton & at dinner you have one carton and then some oatmeal cereal as well.

This week you went to the pumpkin patch with Ms. Ashley and you took some cute pictures with you little friends! You had a good week but Daddy was gone a lot :(

My first night away...

This weekend I went on my first trip away. You stayed with Dad & Meme watched you while Dad went racing. You were well taken care of!

As for me...I did ok it was nice to have a whole night sleep, but I was sick. So my time away was kinda hard b/c I didn't feel well & you weren't feeling well. We had a blast though, Canton was a lot of fun i spent 80% of my money on you, you got some cute cute stuff! There was an outlet mall right behind our hotel so that was pretty neat! Saturday when we finished up at Canton we decided there was no reason to waste time lets get home to our babies!! So we loaded up with intentions to surprise Daddy at the races, we did meet him at the races butttt he was pulling out! He was surprised though! When I got home you were sleeping but when you woke up at 6:30 that next morning I couldn't wait to play with my sweet girl! Time away from you is so hard, it will be a while before my next trip!

Steph asked that I stay awake the entire time, I thought it would be no problem I never sleep in the car. Apparently when you wake up at 3 am and have a 5 month old you do!

This week was Pears, you loved them! You have also started to sit in a highchair at restaurants, I'm so exited about that! You've been congested this week and we took you to the doctor she said you are a tough little girl and are fighting off all on your own very well. You sit up and play with your toys now and LOVE doing it! The dogs like to come and lay with you, so now we battle dog hair in your mouth b/c you like to try and eat the dogs! It's so funny! You are growing up too fast!

Oh my sweet girl, you are growing up so fast I just can't believe you are already 5 months old! I have so much to share:

- You eat 6oz every 4 hours.

-You eat baby food and cereal both morning and night.

-You are sitting up all on your own.

-Daycare didn't work out..you went for one day. Now both Ashley & Cailey watch you and you just love them! When Ashely watches you Karlynn comes and y'all are so cute together!

-When it comes to crawling you've started to get your knees under you but haven't figured it out yet.

-Teething has been a nightmare, no teeth yet but you keep having episodes.

- You got sick for the first time, just a cold but its not fun!

- I spent my first night away from you :( it was a sad sad day but I also had a lot of fun w/ my friends.

-You are still getting up once to eat at night!

-After you finish up these peaches we move on to stage 2 foods.

- You grab everything & its sooo funny! You've almost mastered putting your paci back in your mouth, I can't wait for that day!

- You no longer sleep swaddled and do just fine with it!

-Clowie & Bayleigh are the most amazing things to you, you want to eat them! So far they are very patient with you!

This week was Apples and Bananas (we tried peas but they were a definite NO) and you liked them both! :) You are now eating fruit for breakfast & vegetables for dinner. We've moved you to your highchair and you love it, you eat your baby food when we eat! I love it! Your sleeping hasn't been that great, but you're kind of congested so I'm guessing that's the deal. We are finally on track with our baby sitters, Ashley Mon- Thurs and Cailey Friday! Ms. Ashley has done really well with getting your nap schedule fixed up, so hopefully we will have full night sleeps again. When Ashley comes you get to play with your new friend Karylnn, she's soo cute!

A lot has happened with you this week! You've started eating 6 oz every 4 hours, you're growing so fast. You've also tried Green Beans & Squash, green beans you tolerate but you absolutely love squash. I would have imagined that it was going to be the worst but you love the stuff!

You have started teething, my oh my it's no fun at all! I feel sorry for my sweet little angel. Everything goes in your mouth, your hands, our hands,toys,and even Stephy's ARM!

You like to sit up on your own, especially in the bath tub you play with your ducky and splash! I think bath time is the best part of your day, if you're ever fussy bath time will cure you!

This Sunday was Grandpa's birthday so we went to lunch with him after church and then went to their house for cake! He's an old man now hes 51!

Sunday was also our friend Joe's Birthday & Trav & Stephy's Anniversary so we went to La Casona to celebrate! You were not a good girl b/c we didn't meet until 7:30 bad idea when you know your routine...7:45- 8:00ish baby food, 8:30 bath, 9:00 bottle and bed! You were not a happy camper! :(

Steph & I went to Paula Deen this past weekend. Meme and I were supposed to take you but Meme didn't feel well so Steph and I decided to go. You've been teething so bad that I decided I should leave you with Grandma b/c you would be miserable. I keep kicking myself b/c at the end you could ask questions and I sooo would have asked her to HUG you! That's something I really want is for you to get a big ole hug from Paula Deen she just seems so lovey! However, she's a crazy lady..should have been a comedian!!!

This week was the Homecoming Parade, you and I rode with daddy, you were such a trooper! You talked out the window the entire time. (I also had to change your diaper in my lap while we were going through town, what an experience) It was such a good time! Aunt Sherri made you your first Homecoming Mum!! So cute!

We have also moved onto Carrots this week, you don't give me much grief over them but I don't think they are your favorite!

You have now mastered the toys on your exersaucer, Daddy called me in the living room the other day to inform me that you are a genius & you were moving all of the toys!
And the most dreadful part of the week....SHOTS! You weigh 15lbs 6oz, 25 3/4"...you are one tall little girl! I wonder if you will be tall like Daddy, we shall see! You didn't do too good with the shots you were fussy all weekend but you've overcome it. I dread this appointment every time it rolls around. The doctor said you are a healthy little girl :)

Your FIRST & LAST day of Daycare....

Well yesterday was your First and Last day of daycare. I started packing your bag the night before & I bawled the entire time, I just wasn't ready for my baby to be with someone she didn't know. So I was strong I didn't cry on the way there but when I got there I had to wait 20 min on the lady to finish up in a meeting...that didn't help I started to cry. They made me bring you to your classroom & I could hardly talk, you were fine. Finally I left...that was the most awful feeling I'd ever had in my life. I cried majority of the morning. I called to check on you a few times and they said you were fine. I was supposed to get off at 5 but I got off at 4 instead because I just couldn't take it anymore. When I got there you were in an OLD TIMEY SWING fussing...so I picked you up and of course you had a wet diaper. I know this kind of thing happens but I just didn't like that the ladies were busy b/c all of the babies were fussing...you didn't seem to get much one on one! I'm not ready for that, I didn't like that you didn't get to watch Olivia...play with your toys...or just get treated like a little princess! So I got home and brainstormed & finally it clicked that Cailey might want to watch you! After talking to your Daddy, MeMe, Stephy and Cailey we've decided that Cailey will be your new babysitter! I will change my day off from Friday to Monday & either Macey or Meme will watch you on Wednesdays when Cailey has school! I'm a much happier mommy today! You came to work with me, the joy I get from knowing you will be well taken care of & get spoiled rotten puts a smile on my face that no one can take away! One day daycare might be the answer but for now...not happening!

Happy 4 month Birthday Sweet Girl!

Some new news...you have now started baby food...Sweet Potatoes to be exact and you LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! You can tell by the picture:

You are:

-eating 5 oz every 4 hours

-rolling over boyh ways

-eating rice cereal with a spoon and doing so well, but have now started on baby food this week its sweet potatoes and you eat the entire container. You love them, you try and take the spoon and the container from me.

- going to bed around 8:45-9:15 and waking up around 4 or 5 but going back to sleep.

- 0-3 month Gap clothes are getting tooo small....3 month Carter's fit but the onesies are starting to get snug...Shoes fit thankfully!!

-splashing like crazy in the bath tub.

-you've found your voice...wow you can be loud but so cute!

-laugh and it's absolutely hilarious.

-you have a new toy & lovie they are giraffes and all giraffes names are Sophie.

- you start daycare on tuesday, moms having a hard time with it...

-you are starting to do so good on shopping trips, I'm so proud.

-you can sit up but it doesn't last long...but I bet within the next few weeks you master it b/c you're a genius! you are constantly trying especially in your car seat!

17 Weeks & Daddy's B-Day

This week you started on Oatmeal Cereal, you have improved so much in just 4 days. You started off covered in it and nothing in your tummy just all over your tummy...but now most end up in your tummy! This is helping you sleep longer, you wake up around 4 and eat. You've also moved on to 5oz every 4 hours. This weekend you went to your first little kid birthday, however you slept & ate majority of the time but thats ok mommy had fun visiting. I took my camera hoping to get some pictures but, one parent, one baby, and a camera...the camera is impossible! We have many many more coming up soon so I'll make sure Daddy comes so we can get some pictures. This week you have also discovered your voice, OMG you are loud! Daddy had hoped to sleep in on Saturday but you were so noisy he wasn't able. We also we to Olive Garden for our birthday's with your Daddy's side of the family and sheesh you were loude, thankfully everyone thought it was cute! Next week you start "school" I'm already freaking out and it's a week away ....it's hard b/c I don't know them butttt with time I will and I think you will enjoy it.

Paisley turned 16 weeks old and I turned 25...eeek! I had the best day with my sweet girl we just hung out! This time last year I was so worried that we weren't going to be able to have a baby & 10 days later I found out I was pregnant! She is the best birthday gift I could ask for!

Sunday we went to church & then dropped Paisley off with Meme and Grandpaw while Joseph took me birthday shopping! We went back and had dinner since Grandpaw had surgery on my actual birthday, it was sooo yummy! Monday night we went out to dinner with our friends & had a great time! I can only imagine your 25th birthday, I'm sure you will be a beautiful & respectable young lady! I love you Angel!

Things you have done this week...you are getting so good at holding yourself up while on your belly, and you started to kinda scoot...maybe crawling will be soon! I've started you on oatmeal cereal since rice cereal really doesn't agree with you...but oatmeal must not be as filling b/c you are still getting up. I love to hear you laugh and talk it is the cutest thing everrr!! You also went swimming in Meme's pool, you looovvee to splash around! You will definitely be a water baby!! (also your Sperry's finally fit :) )

Week 15

It's so amazing to me how much of a difference this formula has made, there are some days where there is barely any crying if any! You take your naps, eat, play, and just enjoy life where as before you cried a lot...I feel so bad I didn't make this switch sooner. Guilt got me b/c I felt bad to quit nursing, I knew it benefited you...so here is an example where its not always best! Anyways, you are such a happy little girl and we just enjoy it so much! Sleeping...well we are going eventually get you back to sleeping all night...you are just a hungry girl I guess b/c you eat and go back to sleep no problem. Now Daddy can start getting up too, ahhh a full 8 hours straight of sleep would be awesome! However you are the happiest little girl when you wake up, you great us with a smile every time...so it soo worth it!

You are so smart, you can now roll from front to back and back to front no problem! We lay you on your floor gym more and more & now you have fun with it...I think its beginning to take place of the mobile. Just a few days ago you started trying to sit up when we put you in your car seat, you are always doing this...so I think you will be sitting up soon! Speaking of car seat, you are getting so good at going we don't have as many fits thankfully! My oh my are you growing fast, before we know it you will be walking! :(

We went on our first real date Sunday to the Astros game. MeMe and Grandpaw watched you while we headed to the game! I even got a dress made for the occasion...it was pretty awesome! We had such a good time, we had great seats, great food, and just an all around great time together! However every time I saw a baby I told Daddy...see Paisley could have come! I don't think you would have liked it too much beings that getting out and abouts not your favorite thing to do!

The greatest thing...you rolled over this week! :) You moved up to size 2 diapers! What a big girl you have become. Laughing...oh you crack up especially when we sing " YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE". You jibber gabber so much ...we have little talks and we know what we are talking about..mostly about that pony Daddy's going to get you even though he says he's not! Going for walks is a nightly ritual. You think Bayleigh is pretty cool now..even though she kisses you all the time! You are so sweet & I love you so much!

At 10 weeks you are:

-Doing about 5 min of tummy time and somewhat enjoying it as long as you have a mirror to stare at.

-Eating 5 oz every 2-3 hours.

- Wearing 0-3 month clothes.

-Wearing size 2 diapers.

- Sleeping...hmmm past few nights you've been waking up more often, but you are laying down at 9 and getting up around 5:30 to eat and then back up around 8.

-Sitting in your bumbo for a few minutes.

-Smiling, laughing, and talking to us all the time!

-Somewhat enjoying car rides.

-Laying in your floor gym and really liking it!

Paisley learning from the best!

Tenley was born around the time I got pregnant so her mother and I have always said they are going to BFF's!! :) Today we had a lunch today with these lovely ladies, it was so much fun! I can't wait for both of them to get bigger so we can see how much trouble they get into! Such sweet babies! I see lots of play dates & shopping sprees in our future...oh and nights at the race track! Tenley's mommy & daddy are dirt track race fans too...they actually both drive race cars!!

MeMe's B-Day

Today was MeMe's B-Day! You spent your morning with her while I went to work so yall partied it up! Later than evening we went out to dinner at Outback! You are so lucky to have such a good MeMe and I'm so lucky to have such a great mom. This was your first long outing and you did really good!! I was so proud! I did have to change your diaper 3 times in 2 hours but hey we struck up conversation with 3 different old ladies in the meantime. After we left we stopped in at Grandmas work just to say hey & it made her day. We met some of the old folks there and they just loved you. All and all it was a great day, thank you for being such a good baby!!!

2 Month Check Up

Today you went for your 2 month shots...poor baby! Daddy was supposed to go w/ me but unfortunately he had to go on a job so it was MeMe & I. Neither of us thought we would be able to handle hearing you cry while getting your shots...you also got your ears pierced so it was even worse!

You weighed 12.4 lbs...I was thinking more like 15 but I was wrong. You are 23 1/2 inches long...you will be a tall girl! Dr. McGrann said that you are absolutely perfect, everything with you is perfect!

When you got your shots you cried, but then we gave you a bottle and you were ok. Then it was time to pierce your ears...the actual piercing was fine but the getting the marks on your ears just right ... you hated that! She had to keep moving the mark b/c she didn't want them to be uneven, which I appreciate. It was so sad...I've never heard my baby cry so loud! MeMe cried b/c she couldn't stand to see you in such pain...some how I held it together...quite a shocker!

Tonight you seem to be doing fine, I gave you some Tylenol & you are a happy camper. Lets just hope you are good for MeMe tomorrow!!

On your 2 month Birthday your Uncle Clayton & Aunt Debbie came down! We had a great time with them just visiting, they took tons of pictures of you & we went to dinner. They just ate you up, Uncle Clayton talked in his Donald Duck voice and you thought it was hilarous! Later that evening your Grandma watched you while we went and watched Daddy Race, it's been a while since I've seen that and let me tell you I get scared a lot easier! Paisley girl I think you've turned me into a sissy! haha! It was a great day!

Red, White, and Blue, Paisley is 2....Months old that is! Can you believe it!?! You are such a big girl, you love to stand! We put together your excersaucer in hopes you would be long enough to enjoy your time in it...but you're just a hair too short...so hopefully in the next few weeks you can reach & have fun! We've started putting you in your bumbo & that too is a little too much for you but soon! You just talk away to us & have started giggling, it's the cutest thing ever! You've also started slobbering...and eating your hands...not so cute! LOL! You really enjoy being outside, the trees are the greatest to you, thankfully we have several trees! You have now mastered Patty Cake thanks to Meme...all she has to say is PATTY CAKE MEME & you get all excited!! Bath time is still the all time favorite though, I think you would be happy to be in there all night long! I love you to the moon & back sweet girl! XOXO

Daddy & Grandpaw were in Oklahoma during Father's day so 2 weeks later we are now celebrating! We had a crawfish boil & they were yummy! You got to get in the pool for 2 min b/c Daddy & Meme did not like you being in there...I think you loved it but oh well! I just needed a picture of you in your bikini before you outgrew it and umm good thing we did it when we did b/c you wont fit in it anymore! I put you in your carrier w/ your sunglasses & floppy hat and you had so much fun! Grandpaw gave you a lick of some watermelon...he's a crazy man! At 8 weeks you have moved up to 5 oz every 3 hours. You are sleeping from 10:30-5 still. You like to sit up & then on your own pull up to standing, i know tough little cookie! You smile and laugh now it's the cutest thing ever! You wore shoes for the first time, thankfully they are fitting now b/c you have sooo many cute ones. You don't really enjoy riding in the car but I suppose you are getting better...never fails you need a diaper change half way there! You are becoming soo much fun, not that you weren't before you are just so much more aware of whats going on! You will sit in your bouncer and watch Olivia or Elmo for about 15-20 min you love the music & colors! You are still infactuated with your mobile which is great because it gives me a few minutes to get some things done around the house! You are such a sweet girl, I love you to the moon & back!

Oh my big girl!! You are getting so strong, you hold your head up so well & even sit up pretty good! You like to stand up when we are holding you & when laid on your tummy you look up at us! I'm a little late with this entry b/c we've had a crazy week! You are doing really well, you are getting so big. Unfortunately you have eczema, you are definitely your mothers child...I'm sorry you get your skin from me! You are still sleeping well through the night & love bath time! Sunday I tried you on formula & it didn't work out so well so back to breastfeeding we go! It was a rough day yesterday b/c of the formula not agreeing with you! I was at a point where stress is so high & there is sooo much going on that I was ready to give up breastfeeding, but then guilt got me when I saw how hurt you were! Maybe at your 2 month checkup I will talk to Dr.McGrann. This Sunday is Father's Day & Daddy is out of town working but we will make it up to him b/c he such a good Daddy and deserves the best day ever! I got you a mobile for your crib and you will lay there and watch the animals go round and round forever...only bad part is the music only goes for about 3 min and then it has to be wound up again...to bad we can't make it go longer! You are so aware now days we were eating at a restaurant the other night while you were taking your bottle & the nosey little girl you are you watched the lady walk past while you were eating...normally its only about the bottle!! Before we know it you will be a crawling I'm sure! We've started tummy time each day for about 5 minutes & you seem to enjoy it you push up and look around you are so strong! We love you so much & are so blessed to have such a sweet little girl!

5 Weeks Old

Today you are 5 weeks old! You have now mastered eating out of a bottle, you eat 4 ounces but think you should get more...however if you eat any more you have a belly ache & you are no fun! Mylicon is still one of your favorite things in the entire world, sometimes I wonder if you know how to work us just so you can have some! When I'm burping you you are so good at holding your head up as well as "standing" while holding all of your weight(this is mainly b/c you are throwing a fit, you do not like taking a break to burp!!). I think you are one tough little girl! You are sleeping well (I sure hope I've not jinxed myself) from 10ish-5ish in your OWN CRIB!!! I'm so proud, you've done so good & I think we all sleep better this way. You are now wearing 0-3 month clothing, thankfully b/c you have sooo many cute clothes in this size! You have also moved up to size 1 diapers, even though Dad says they are too big still, he just doesn't want to face you growing up! You are so much more aware these days, you even laugh and smile sometimes, mostly at your MeMe though!You really like your swing and bouncer! This was the first week we stayed alone, Dad was gone for 1 week, but we managed thanks to MeMe & Stephanie! It was a big change and we were sure glad to have Dad back!! I was so worried about Bayleigh but shes the best puppy when it comes to you, if you are crying and I'm in another room she comes to me and then runs back to you making sure I know whats going on. Also when we get home & I let her out if you are still in the car she goes and "dances" by your door b/c she wants you out & wants to see you so that shes sure you are ok! You've made so many changes this week I'm so excited to see what next week holds.

Today marks 4 weeks, wow I can't believe it (I think I start each post off like this but really it's hard to believe)! You are sooo much more aware now days, you like to talk to us! You are eating every 2.5-3 hours & now you've conquered a bottle! :) At first bottles were tough b/c I didn't know how much to give you but 4oz usually does the trick...I think if you could have more you would definitely eat it but you would be miserably full! Your acid reflux medicine seems to have done the trick for the most part but when we need an extra something your favorite thing in the world does the trick...Mylicon! I'm not sure what we would do without this stuff, its like candy to you!! You also started sleeping in your own crib and you love it, we both sleep a lot better! Dad had to wake me up once b/c he heard you crying & I didn't b/c I went to sleep with the monitor in my hand and was laying on it! It cracks me up how much you love to lay on your changing table and just stare at the tree on your wall, I'm so glad you love your room! Meme has to watch you this week for 3 days b/c I have to go back to work for a few hours : / I sure hope you are a sweet girl! Dad is going out of town for the first time as well...I'm pretty nervous about this! :( I can't wait to see what changes you will have made when he gets back in town next week!

Paisley had her first big girl bath today! :) Finally her umbilical cord came off and it stopped oozing enough that we felt comfortable to go for the splash! She loved it! I thought she was going to cry but she did so good!! I was so nervous to do this alone but it needed to be done so I said what the heck while Joseph was at work! :) I her little mohawk, can't wait to watch it grow, she is growing too fast! I'm sure bath time will be a favorite for here on out! I can't wait to cuddle with my fresh & so clean little angel!

3 Weeks Old

Paisley is now 3 weeks old, one more week and she will be a month old...seems to be going by so fast!

Sunday was a big day for Paisley, her umbilical cord finally fell off!! Now she can get a bath like a big girl instead of just a wash rag bath. (Pictures to come soon)

I'm late writing this (2 days) but today we went to the doctor and my sweet girl is now 10 lbs!!! She is eating every 3 hours sometimes sooner... like 45 min after she ate...no wonder she's 10 lbs! Unfortunately the reason we had to go to the doctor is b/c shes been getting very upset after eating, just screaming like it HURT so we knew something was not right. So we took her to Dr.McGrann (who i absolutely love) and turns out she has Acid Reflux...so thankfully she got some prev acid that we will try for the first time in a few hours hopefully she will have some relief. She is still wearing newborn diapers however I'm pretty sure after this box we will be moving on to ones b/c some of her newborn outfits don't fit. I'm excited she has sooo many cute 0-3 month outfits, haha! She is so strong she has always held her head up, but now she can hold it up for minutes at a time, it amazes me! She really likes time in her swing & is awake more often and likes to check out whats going on. The dogs are so protective of her, however Bayleigh keeps stealing pacifiers we have already thrown 2 away. Sleeping is different night to night, I don't want to speak too soon but I think she's learning to sleep more during the night. Some of the cute things she does:

Grunts, squirms, and makes horse noises when she's waking up or is hungry.

When Joseph walks in the door from work and talks to her she just looks at him...even if in mid cry, she's already a Daddy's Girl.

Smiles in her sleep & occasionally when we are talking to her.

So many other things that just slipped my mind!

2 Weeks

Wow, 2 weeks already! Today was a hard day b/c Daddy had to go back to work, and to top it off Paisley did not sleep much last night. She eats every 3 hours on the dot, sometimes she will be and hour or so off. For the most part shes a very happy baby! Her eyes are startng to really lighten up, I think she will have blue eyes! From day to day she changes so much...I think she is starting to look more and more like Joseph. :)

Paisley's First Doctors Appointment

We had Paisley's first doctors appointment on Friday May 13th. She got a clean bill of health thankfully! Poor baby had to get the PKU again...she did NOT like it! She is definitely eating well she was 11 days old and weighs 8lbs 13oz and is 21 1/4 in long! After her appointment we did some shopping in Pearland, it was soooo nice to get out of the house! :)

My First Mother's Day

Mother's Day was great! We had several visitors, but Joseph was able to sneak away and get me a special Mother's Day card! My baby girl was the best Mother's Day gift anyone could ask for, she came just in the nick of time! :) She is such a blessing, I couldn't ask for a better life!

One Week Old

I can't believe she is already 1 week old, that flew by so fast! Paisley is eating well, every 3 hours on the dot shes awake and ready to nurse. She more alert and can focus better. Sleeping hasn't been too bad, although I think she might have her days and nights mixed up. She sleeps so sound during the day and at night she's fussy...hopefully we can break this habit. Her Jaundice went away completely and we don't have to monitor it anymore, thank the lord! :) We have a doctors appointment on Friday, I can't wait to see how much my little chubby baby weighs!!!

This weekend was a busy weekend! Friday night Stephanie took me out for my last "girls night out" before Paisley, we did some shopping & had an awesome dinner. Saturday was a long day I just didn't feel like I could get off of the couch I was just soo tired, but I manged to get up and go watch Joseph race considering it would be the last race I'd be able to attend for a few months. Sunday Stephanie & I went to Sam's so I could stock up on meat & some other items so grocery shopping wouldn't have to be done for a while. We came home and cooked a yummy dinner & my Dad came and ate as well. Finally we went to bed, picked up the house some what but for the most part....it needed some TLC b/c I had started laundry & didn't get it put away and used a lot of dishes for dinner that night that needed to be put away.

Little did we know that we would not be waking up b/c the alarm went off that morning...but because my water broke! 5:00 came around and I got up to use the restroom...when walking back to bed my water broke...so I said JOSEPH...he woke up from a dead sleep and looked so confused...I said my water broke...he said Call the DR! So I called and they told me to come in. So Joseph was up, ping ponging through the house...not sure what all he was doing but he was nervous. I fixed my hair put on my make up and got everything together...I even put away some dishes and folded the blankets. I wanted the house to be somewhat in order when the princess arrived(my amazing mother had my house cleaned & all decorated for us!)!!

So finally in the car we go, my Dad & Joseph's family were on their way. My mom was still in California and wasn't due in until 7:20 that night. She got her flight changed and she would be here by 3:00, thank God(she made it in plenty of time)! Joseph was going rather fast, I kept telling him DON'T SPEED I don't want to have to talk to a cop with the towel between my legs...we have plenty of time!!!! So that conversation went on the entire 25 min ride to Houston (usually a 45 min ride).

At last we are at the hospital, Crystal & my Dad pulled in right behind us! I got checked in my room and the nurse checked me... I was only a 1-2 but my water was definitely broke. So now it was time to wait for Dr. Tran who would be in at 8am. By the time Dr.Tran came in I was a 2-2.5 so she ordered Pitocin. My blood pressure had been reading really high, I always have perfect blood pressure, so they drew blood to see if I had preclampsia. The results came back and I did indeed have preclampsia, so Dr. Tran recommended that I go ahead and get the epidural now to try and help my blood pressure. I was sooooo scared to get the epidural, and for no reason at all it did not hurt a bit!!! Later when checked the epidural did not help with my blood pressure so I was put on blood pressure medicine. We had quite a crew there, my Dad, Crystal, Sherri, Frances, Ervin, Nicki, Ally, Pam, Stephanie, & Travis! By lunch I was a 4, and that's what they were hoping. She wasn't sure that I would be able to dilate the whole way but was going to give me until 7:00. At 7:00 I was at an 8.5-9, and finally at 11:00 I was a 10!!! I was so excited I had made it that far!! Dr. Tran said due to Paisley's head being large and getting stuck under my pubic bone she gave me a 50/50 chance to deliver her vaginally & I was bound and determined! Dr.Tran was now off call and Dr.Mata was the doctor that would be delivering, I was ok with that b/c she was very very nice & I really liked her!! So from 9:30 until 11:00 Dr.Mata allowed me to push before deciding if there would be a C-Section, which I was totally freaking out about so I was watching the clock! Joseph & the nurse were the only ones that were in the room while pushing. Joseph did so good, he did get a little woozy at one point and drank some apple juice and was back and ready to go! The nurse too was amazing I had 2 that day but the one that actually delivered Paisley was awesome! Anyways, at 11:00 I had made some progress...so another 3o min before a C-Section was the game plan. So I pushed for 15 min and the nurse checked me...Paisley's head was NOT budging sooo...I made the call, lets just do the C-Section I was exhausted and was in sooo much pain. As important to me as it was to have her naturally I knew it wasn't going to happen. I gave it my all, I was in labor from 5am until 11:30pm, there was nothing to be ashamed of! So after some tears they wheeled me into the operating room & started the procedure. While on the operating table they were talking about the Royal Wedding...the nurse didn't like Kate's makeup & hair...so I chimed in and said did you know she did it herself? So again...I freaked out thinking that this C-Section was going to be so bad but it wasn't bad at all! I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to hold my baby afterwards and I was able to...so many fears that weren't even an issue. So at 11:56 my sweet Paisley girl was born she was 8lbs 5oz & 21 inches long. She was the most precious thing I had ever laid eyes on, her Daddy and I were the happiest parents in the whole world! The look on Joseph's face was priceless, this little girl has him wrapped around his finger! I went into recovery for an hour and finally got my room, at 4am they finally brought us our sweet baby! MeMe, Grandpa, & Ryan waited around to hold her and see her up close, they were infatuated!

Everyone went home and I fed my little angel and we went to sleep for the night. Wait let me add in I FINALLY GOT SOMETHING TO DRINK! Ice chips all day was awful....and I had to wait until morning to get food. Paisley checked out great & they thought we would come home on Wednesday. Come Wednesday Paisley's jaundice levels were too high so we had to wait until Thursday. Thursday we went home but we had to get a blanket that Paisley would sleep with to bring her jaundice levels down & then we were to bring her back to the hospital that morning to recheck the levels. Thankfully the numbers were satisfactory but Dr. McGrann wanted to give one more night with the blanket and test again & my sweet sweet girl passed & was able to get rid of the stupid blanket!

She is doing so good! Joseph has been the most amazing Daddy in the world, not that I didn't think he would but not until Saturday did I change the first diaper. He is on everything, he gets her to sleep when she's fussy, changes diapers, he's so good, only thing he doesn't do is feed her and thats only b/c he can't (if he could he would I'm sure!). I'm so lucky to have these two, they are amazing!

The dogs have done very good with her too! Anytime someone goes to hold Paisley, Bayleigh jumps in their lap and has to check them out. We thought she was going to be jealous but instead she's super protective. Clowie is exactly as I had expected, just laid back as could be! That was such a relief!

Last Race Before Sweet Pea

Saturday night Joseph went racing, it was a big race 50 lap feature! I was pretty nervous about it but wanted to go b/c considering I would be induced on Friday I had better get my last race in for a while. Joseph did great! His first race his chain popped off but he was in 1st place, so he had to race a qualifier he won this race!! In the feature he got 14 of 25, he hadn't made the right adjustments but I was happy he finished in one piece. At the 25 lap mark they got a 5 min red & he was out of tear off so I went out on the track and had to run a little ways...I'm sure that was quite the show for some of the fans! :P All in all we had a great time!

DR Update

So I went to the doctor yesterday & I got some scary news! Paisley is expected to be BIG...Dr. Tran ordered that I get an ultra sound to see just how big she is! If she was between 7.5 and 8 lbs I will be induced next Friday...wow so soon! I had noticed last week Dr. Tran was off a week and so I asked her about it...so I was right! So 39 weeks is when she can induce me...that would be Wednesday but Dr. Tran has to be on call since it would be an elected induction (Hospital Policy). So I went for the ultrasound and Paisley was estimated to be 9 LBS!!! So Dr. Tran called and told me that we would induce Friday...and there was and 80% chance that I would be able to vaginally deliver considering she was so big. It is very important to me to deliver this way, so we will see!! :) So now it's just a waiting game! My mom will be back from Cali on Monday so lets hope Paisley isn't ready to come sooner!!!!

I'm kinda late blogging about this ...it just kinda slipped my mind. April 10th we had my last shower, it was my biggest shower for family and friends. We got sooo much stuff & it as all so awesome, thank you everyone. Paisley is one lucky little girl, so many people made her quilts, afghans, and blankets, they are all so special! Growing up my favorite gift to get from my Grandma was a new quilt, we sleep with a quilt made by her every night! :D Some of the other awesome gifts we got were, the swing, bouncer,so many cute clothes, books, activity centers, car seat, stroller, and high chair to just name a few!

Well I went for my appointment yesterday and again absolutely no change! Apparently Dr. Tran and I are using different due dates b/c after I left I realized she told me that I'm not full term yet and will be next week....For my May 11th due date I would have been full term Wednesday and for the May 8th due date I would have been full term Sunday. I go back Friday so I'm going to have to ask her what day are you using as my due date?
Anyways, I've gained 3 more lbs and that puts me at a total gain of 20lbs...not too bad considering she said recommend weight gain was 20-25 lbs so lets just hope I don't blow up now. Paisley's HB was 145, thats pretty normal. Dr. Tran projects she will be an 8lb to 8.5lb baby and right now thinks she is about 6.5lbs. She did say I don't think you will have a scrawny little baby you will definitely have a big baby. We kinda touched on induction and from what I gathered shes not really a fan to do that until 40-41 weeks or if she notices that the baby is getting too big. We also talked about epidurals, the part I'm the most nervous about, she will give it to me as soon as she realizes I'm in active labor ... so to my sister in law that was a relief lol!
Wednesday night I just knew I was about to have her, I got a huge spurt of energy, Monday & Tuesday I had been contracting about 10 min apart, Joseph told me that it really looked like I had dropped so I made sure everything was packed & washed...ok so it has been for about 2 weeks now...but I added to it! Needless to say I didn't have her! My Mom is going to California next week so that is totally out of the question but the moment she gets back I hope this little girl graces us w/ her presence!!! :)

Week 37

Fuel prices have gone up, the cheapest price for diesel is $3.79 so to fill up Joseph's truck we almost need a loan! LOL! He's been looking at the particular Dune Buggy on Craig's List for at least 3-4 months, however I didn't think it was really a practical buy at this point. He finally did some convincing and this is going to be his new ride back and forth to work...I can't wait to see this ... especially on a rainy day hahaha! : P

Sleep: Is starting to be an issue...It's hard to get comfortable therefore I don't sleep well...doesn't help I'm just exhausted all the time.

Labor Signs: No however a few weeks ago I lost some of my mucus plug...and this morning I lost more...so maybe when I go Friday she will say I'm starting to dilate!

Cravings:Well I had some disgusting Chinese food on Saturday so I'm pretty sure that Chinese food has been crossed off of the list!

What I miss: I know this sounds ugly but being asked every 5 min are you ok...how are you feeling...everything ok?

Weekly Wisdom: I guess it's not wisdom just a special moment.... We had our second shower yesterday and Joseph's mom got us the glider we had registered for. She told us the only stipulation is she gets to come over and rock her to sleep at least once, I told her come any time! On the way to dinner Joseph and I were talking about how she made that comment and I said I want her to know she is welcome anytime and can rock her to sleep whenever...he said WELL THAT IS IF I'M NOT ALREADY DOING IT! hahah! I said are you serious, he said yes I can't wait to rock her to sleep, I've rocked other babies but this on is my own. He then asked me you're not so excited to get to do that, it's not that I'm not its just that I know it will be something I do all the time so I haven't really put much thought into it. He said I would be fine if she would come right now I'm ready to hold her! It was just special to hear how excited he is for her to be here, not that I didn't already know it was just nice to hear him elaborate on it! :)

Zac Brown Band at HLSR

We had already decided that after attending the Supercross at Reliant that we would probably skip out on the rodeo this year b/c its a lot of walking and the seats are sooo uncomfortable. Crystal was so excited to see Zac Brown but she never got tickets, the Tuesday before the show one of the vendors here at work brought in 4 tickets and gave them to us. No one wanted them and Joseph is also a Zac Brown fan ( I am as well but I'm also a sissy b/c I know sitting in those tiny seats for 2 hours is going to be a pain!) so I went out and asked him if he wanted to go. He asked if I was up for it and like a good wife I said of course anything for you dear, haha! So we got in touch with Crystal & let her know she would now be going to Zac Brown w/ us as well as Sherri.

So that Thursday we headed up to the rodeo! We looked at all of the shops & went to the concert. It was a very good time, Zac Brown really puts on a good concert...and I didn't fall over dead LOL!

FYI it was also St. Patricks day so I had to wear the only green shirt I could find...little did I realize until seeing the pictures I looked like a beached whale in it! LOL

Paisley's Amazing Room

I must say Paisley has the cutest nursery I've ever seen & I have several people to thank for that, My Parents for the furniture, Pam for the sewing, & Schelli Martin for her amazing painting! Her room has finally all come together now we just need a baby but we can wait a few weeks(we still have 2 more showers to go)!! Bayleigh now thinks this room is hers...and she thinks all of the gifts from yesterdays shower are hers as well! I'm a little nervous of how she will be when Paisley is here because right now there is no doubt she is the baby!!!

From the start I wanted Paisley's name above her bed, I wasn't sure how I wanted it but after seeing Schelli's work there was no doubt painting it was the way to go!! She is just amazing, she free hands it and it looks better than any stencil! I was thinking I wanted her name w/ a few paisley designs by it but....then it hit me! One day while checking out etsy.com (beware if you have never been there b/c you can get in lots of trouble w/ your bank account lol!) they had a tree and it was sooo neat! I wasn't really sure how a tree could be incorporated into a room that was pink w/ paisley bedding. Then I realized that a birds wing is the same shape as the paisley design & thought that would look amazing! I printed a ton of ideas out & handed them to Schelli and she completely took my idea & made it 10 times better than I could have ever dreamt up! I'm so excited to get her in there I just know she will love her room as much as Joseph and I love it...oh and Bayleigh lol!

Maternity clothes? I'm ready for this baby to get here b/c I'm running out of clothes & I don't wanna buy more maternity!

Sleep: Waking up often is really starting to get old, I don't wake up b/c she's moving so it's not her fault! I wake up every hour just to see if its time to get up so when it is time to get up....I'm soooo sleepy!

Movement: You can definitely see her moving around if you just watch my belly! However if someone puts their hand on my belly its over...shes not letting anyone feel her!

Labor Signs: No yet, I had an exam and Dr. Tran really feels that I will make it full term, there are no indications that she will come early! :D Good b/c I have a lot to get done still! Belly Button in or out? Still in but not very cute!

Sleep: Joseph has finally switched me sides of the bed...and its definately easier to get in and out...but not nearly as comfortable as my side....he can't win for losing lol!

Movement: Rather than it feeling like a bouncy ball in there...its more like she sways...and when she "kicks" its more like a JAB! Last night she had the hiccups & Joseph could feel them...that was neat!

Weekly Wisdom: Shopping until you drop is a little harder than it used to be...therefore it took me 2 days of shopping to get all of my stuff done!

Maternity clothes? Yep & the Gap is my new favorite place! We had a Scentsy convention in the Woodlands, so my mom & I shopped...oh the Gap got me in lots of trouble! I sure hope these clothes fit me on kid #2!

Sleep: I'm sleeping really good...but a few nights I've had acid reflux!

Movement: I love feeling her move!

Weekly Wisdom: Seeing your baby for the first time was super cool! I definitely think you should get a 4D when your expecting!

The 4D ultrasound was sooo coool!!! The lady that did it was just amazing, she wasn't impressed w/ Paisley's pictures b/c she kept her hand in her face & was really sleepy so I get to go back for a redo at no cost! I probably picked a really bad day b/c my glucose test was Friday as well so I couldn't have any sugar...this baby is used to having a coke at noon!! So next time I'll have her on a sugar rush! We are also hoping by that time she will have flipped I will be 31 weeks so its a possibility! :) Friday was a really good day, I even got my coach diaper bag i was hoping for now I just can't wait for it to come in! :) I'm getting really excited to meet my sweet angel, she will be here soon enough I know!

Maternity clothes? Thankfully Old Navy had a good sale yesterday I got a bag full! :) My selection was getting slim!

Sleep: Well my poor husband has informed me I've started humming in my sleep! :( I'm sure that makes for a long night for him, I actually woke up several times last night b/c I caught myself. I have a cold so I'm hoping that when the cold goes away so does the humming! Thankfully he didn't go sleep in another bed or on the couch!

Movement: The other night she was using my ribs as a xylophone...it really tickled..so much that I laughed!

Joseph has always been a die hard racer, but the class he was in he got out of and traded for this beauty. This was a big change for us, he went from full size cars to these tiny little things. I am still very nervous about this but I will adjust. This track was so small it was more like bumper cars, so I was really nervous. Hopefully on a bigger track it will be better. Watching this could put in labor early hahaha! J/K!
Joseph had a great time!! His hose broke so he didn't get to run the B Main but, he got to practice so that was good!

Racing season starts in March so we will have a few months of racing before Ms. Paisley gets here!
We couldn't have done it without our tire man! :)

A work in progress...

Paisley's room has been a work in progress! Everything finally came in and if you know me & projects I'm the kind of person that wants it all done in one day. My husband has to remind me he's not a magician and I just need to slow down a bit...it's hard I get so excited! Her room is going to be so cute! However several times I found myself disappointed but in the end it all came together & once we get it finished the rest of the way I think we will love it! Here is your sneak peak, soon we will have more to show off!

The crib came in & Joseph got it all put together the first night!Then came the bedding! Choosing paint was a hard choice, thanks to Marion for making that a little easier for us! :) However at first I thought OMG this is wayyy to pink..but when we get stuff on the walls it will look better!I swear I married the handiest man in the world, he can do anything! It only took him about an hour to get this up...that's like record timing! (no he's not for sale or rent! lol)Just the chair railing made the room look 100% better!He is very precise with everything!The finished product for the weekend! This week the lady comes to measure for new blinds! Hopefully this week I will get the blinds hung & we are having a valance made so maybe 2 weeks & you get to see that!

And now for the crib! Doesn't it look good! I got a brown sheet last night & that really helped look better! The lady measuring for the blinds is going to also make a vinyl sticker w/ Paisley's name & a design on it to go above the crib! This is one of the things I just can't wait to get!

Our weekend was busy, but it was well worth it! Hopefully soon we will have the finished product to show you, but I knew you just couldn't wait to see our work in progress!
